Our Buyer Guarantee
DISCLOSURE
We'll share with you all information we have about our minis. Including health and breeding history, extended pedigree information for both registries and anything else you would care to know.
As we believe in our breeding program, you'll have the opportunity to see not only the mini you are interested in, but often the sire and dam as well as siblings, aunts, uncles and grandparents! If we don't have them on site, we should have photos and contact information for the previous or new owners.
We are working on having videos and updated photos of all the horses in 2007-08.
HEALTH CARE
Our minis are vaccinated annually, de-wormed and trimmed approximately every two months (foals under a year are done monthly) and see vets at either UC Davis or Loomis Basin Equine Center as needed. We also use two alternative (practice) health vets and an animal communicator as needed.
The minis are fed alfalfa/grass hay with access to mineral, selenium & white salt blocks as well as fresh water 24/7. They live on large acreage with run in shelters, lots of hills and the companionship of other minis. We feel this keeps them physically healthy and active and sound of mind too.
REGISTRATION
Our minis are in general double registered with AMHA and AMHR. (There are a few individuals that are not, but as a rule we prefer all double registered!)
All our minis paperwork is kept current (we'll gladly provide copies and/or contact information for the registries so it can be verified) on any mini purchased. All originals and copies will be provided along with the correct transfer paperwork as soon as final payment has cleared the bank. If you are not a member of AMHA or AMHR, we can handle the transfer paperwork too at the members rate!
DNA TESTING/PARENT QUALIFICATION
We are strong believers in Parent Qualification of all Miniature Horses for both registries. But until that time, we are doing are part to document our pedigrees by DNA testing and Parent Qualifying our minis.
Where possible we Parent Qualifying our older breeding stock too. This can be difficult to get cooperation from with some breeders, but we're trying to have our pedigrees with multi-generations documented.
AFTER THE SALE
Help after the sale! Should you need assistance with care or have any questions we will be available to help. We can recommend vets, farriers, trainers and other mini resources to you. We can also answer questions you may have about your specific mini. Let us know if we can help. Everyone has been a beginner at one time, so please ask if you need help. If we don't know, we may be able to direct you to a good source.
We also offer, reduce pricing on future purchases, stud fees and package purchases. Most of our buyers become not just clients but friends and family! We want to hear about your success and love to receive cards, letters and photos of your minis. We also like to share with our friends how our herd changes and progresses over time.
If you show your Wesco Farms mini (or do CDE, therapy work, or just plain enjoy them!), we'd like to help promote your horse too! We'll be happy to add any information to your minis web page on our site (a link to your site, email address, update photos, etc.), and promote them in our advertising too.
Should you need (for whatever reason) to find your Wesco Farms mini a new home, we'll help with that too. We may not be in the position to buy back every horse we sell, but raising minis is not just our business. We care about our horses and their welfare. If you're not happy with your mini, we'd like to help you find a new home for him or her. We'll help with marketing and can list your horse on our sales list, as well as contact buyers that may be a perfect fit for your Wesco Farms mini!
If you have any questions regarding our Buyer Guarantee, please contact us! We'll be happy to explain anything or discuss any concerns you may have!
