Callita is a fabulous broodmare that has real mare power! She has produced consistent high quality colorful foals - with fabulous color, pizzaz and great work ethic!
We were very honored in 2006 to have Callita selected as one of the 300 mares for the Outstanding Miniature Horse Mares, Past & Present by Pat Elder (Small Horse Press). We were actually thrilled to have three mares this book - Chiclet & Cajun were also included!
Callita's two most famous son's Las Doradas American Eagle and Las Doradas Spirit Walker are both exceptional examples of her production ability! Eagle has produced National Champions in Australia and Spirit Walker (Val) has been Overo Horse of the Year PtHA in 2003, 2004 & 2005!
Callita has also produced many other wonderful foals and we are fortunate to have had many of them as part of our breeding program over the years - her daughters, Las Doradas Mardi Gras, and Wesco Farms LM Buena Baybee Blues, two of her grand-daughters, Wesco Farms Carnivale Candy and Las Doradas Calypso Queen and her great-grand-daughter, Wesco Farms Jamaica Me Crazy.
