Foals

We breed for foals to be born in April-May.

Foals receive their first hoof trim at one month and are put on a regular de-worming program (Safeguard until six months). We do not like to wean until at leat 5-6 months, so our foals are ready to go to their new home on or about October 1st.

We do not vaccinate before six months of age. Purchased foals can be vaccinated through UC Davis or with the new owners vet.

Colts that a new owner would like gelded, we're happy to make the arrangements through UC Davis, but this is dependent on fly season!

A 25% non-refundable deposit will hold them until weaning. Foals purchased before four months old we do not charge board or care fees.

We like to have paperwork and registration completed before a foal leaves including the DNA/PQ testing for AMHA horses.
